I remember back in my capstone class in college, we were asked to throw out unique + beneficial skills we would be adding to the ‘workforce’ – after listing out a few of mine, my professor laughed + spat back “So, you’re pretty much saying you’re a hustler?”
What in the world? Did my professor really just say that!? I laughed so hard I nearly cried!
(To give you some context, she’s this incredibly accomplished african american woman from Detroit. I thought she may be teasing me or pulling my leg.)
When I composed myself I said, “A hustler? Did I hear you correctly?”
She replied, “Now, I don’t mean that in a bad way! It just sounds like you’ll do anything it takes to get the job done.”
Hmm… So by her definition, I guess I am a HUSTLER.
I even debated listing that on my business card ;)
All jokes aside–it has always been my nature to pour everything I have into my work, to create from the heart and
yes, to do anything it takes to get the job done well.
Every so often, I think it’s important to step back + analyze where I am in my business and how my story is being communicated online. These past few years have been a beautiful + defining time in my work so I knew it was time to update and clarify the evolution + definition of what I offer to this world.
People frequently ask, what does “creative marketing” mean? Or what exactly is a “social media strategist”?
Or, more bluntly, “what exactly do you do?”
I welcome these questions because although there is much that goes into my work, it can seem complex and vague. In reality, I could list the tasks that piece together my day or share the successful statistics of my clients, but I want my brand to be defined as so much more than that.
Over the past few years, my endeavors have expanded, been refined and taken different shapes. I have transitioned from a freelancer to the founder of my own company ElanaLoo Consulting–dedicating my full time to advising my clients. I spend my days consulting small businesses + entrepreneurs on their online presence.
There’s a series of questions I ask all new clients when we first analyze their business as a whole –

When I couldn’t find the exact words to communicate the depth and passion in my work, my mind fluttered to these questions–so I sat down + tried to put my best words forward to describe what exactly I do. . .
WHO OR WHAT IS ELANALOO?
I’m a visual storytelling creative entrepreneur, with a unique understanding of how to connect entrepreneurs with their ideal audience through online marketing. By advising small businesses on how to strategically and creatively use their online platforms, I strive to bring intention to the social space, help brands bring their aesthetic to life and build an online community surrounding their brand.

Many people can help you megaphone messages to an audience, create an ad or grow your numbers – but it’s my mission to understand the way you view the world, understand your WHY + understand what makes your business vibrantly different – and then communicate this to your ideal community in an artful way.

My goal is to teach how to best utilize each platform online, create unforgettable content to give your brand a visual identity, inject strategy into all marketing efforts and with these actions combined–cause the ideal audience to then REACT. My process reflects these steps: clarity, beauty, strategy + action.

With years of experience in photography, digital marketing, social media and blogging–I create cohesive online brand presences, write & edit marketing copy and implement powerful social media strategies. I believe in the art of diving in deep, shaking things up and seeing ideas all the way through from creation to fruition.
My clients choose me because they aren’t simply obsessed with numbers (followers, likes, etc.) but instead, they are interested in profitability over popularity and care that their brand is surrounded by a loyal, invested audience who supports their core values, the soul of their company + their talents. WHAT ARE YOUR GOALS?
To work with small businesses who are offering something spectacular to this world but are overwhelmed with the social networks, confused with their content strategy or overall, aren’t happy with the results of their efforts. We can’t all be photographers or marketing strategists – we each have our own talents and I want to continue to offer mine.
It’s been cleansing + exciting to give a more clear perspective into the passion and heart that I pour into my work. Each day I am thankful to create work that I love in tandem with inspiring entrepreneurs.

As of last fall, an exciting addition has been bringing my partner, Aaron, on board with our clients! With his business, marketing + management skills from ten years in the corporate world, it has been such a powerful addition having him and one of my greatest joys working alongside him. So if I start to reference my work as our work or shift from ‘I‘ to ‘we’ – you’ll now know who I’m referencing! I cannot begin to express how happy + thankful I am of this.
In conclusion –
We all evolve in our skill set, our business + who we are as people. Always growing, learning + adapting as time passes. I know that my blog had not yet fully communicated the extensions of my work so I thought until we finalize our website, why not share on the blog for now? Exciting things are on the horizon–I cannot wait until our website is completed so that we are able to streamline the process for anyone trying to work with us.
