If you read my first post on Cabo, you know we were lucky enough to travel to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico a few weeks ago for our best friends’ wedding. Here’s how the rest of our week went. . .
Wednesday we wanted to head up to La Paz, but due to the drive time, we ‘settled’ and headed up by Todos Santos to Playa Los Cerritos. It was a gem, tucked away from the tourism of Cabo. Cerritos accommodated everyone in the group, making for the perfect beach day. Great surf, soft sand, beautiful waves, a castle on the hill, massages right on the shore & a beach club providing piña coladas + perfectly ripe papaya!
We let the day slowly unfold, watched the guys play out in the waves, relaxed . . . but how could we not go check out that castle on the hill?
So glad we went up & explored ‘the castle’ or what’s actually called Hacienda Cerritos. What a jaw-dropping, charming place with stunning views! Away from the city, beautifully designed + private, we will definitely consider staying there on our next trip to Cabo!
Before heading back to the resort, we had lunch at the iconic Hotel California! Such a treat.
Once we wrapped our beach day, we cleaned up & headed out out for the night. Many more guests had arrived earlier that day so it was quite the reunion–filling the new guests in on our adventures & planning for the next few days! We split up, bachelors and bachelorettes, and hit the town! It was an awesome idea to do the parties while we were down in Cabo–so. much. fun.
We started out classy, cheersing champagne at the hotel + dining at Bar Esquina (totally recommend it – there menu was so delicious!) & then got the party STARTED by heading to El Squid Roe! Anyone who has been there knows the crazy atmosphere! The night was awesome–perfect bachelorette celebration–even good enough for the front of a tequila bottle! ; )
After a day + night like that, Thursday was a bit slower and relaxed! We hung poolside, sipped drinks + ate some amazing fish tacos and I enjoyed this guys’ company. . . Love that I get to do life by his side!
Lounging poolside with the perfect accessories–a tee, sunnies + coordinate bangle. Later that evening we gathered all together for the rehearsal dinner, followed by the wedding Friday (!!) I’ll post photos from Jodee later. . .
Saturday we enjoyed brunch as a group with the MR. + MRS. — sharing stories from the night before & simply congratulating the newlyweds!
She’s a WIFE! The waves were getting HUGE, so we opted for a pool day! Such a fun time hanging with everyone. . .
Sunday, our last day in paradise. . . We slowly worked into the day, not wanting to say goodbye to the sand, sea and sun. The waves were crazy & we caught ourselves out on the balcony mesmerized multiple times!
We were starving & wanted to check out a local place everyone had raved about. It was just another day at The Office ; ) . . . An awesome beachside restaurant that was surprisingly less crowded than we imagined for a Sunday! The food was really tasty & we were able to snag some awesome deals from the beach vendors.
All in all, Cabo treated us so well. I wasn’t expecting to love it as much as I did because I traveled to Mexico quite often when I was younger but it was a fantastic location! We would definitely recommend Grand Solmar & all of the places I have included in my posts!
Goodbye, Cabo! Until we meet again. . .
your pics are gorgeous! going to cabo in September!
