While Aaron’s family was in town, we found ourselves constantly heading up into the mountains. Almost every day they were here, we explored a new part of our state–covering every canyon in the Salt Lake valley. We really tried to give them a healthy dose of mountain escape!
There isn’t much color in our mountains this year but, as always, there is such variety + beauty in the landscape as it whooshes past your car window or as you hike higher & higher in elevation. In each canyon, there was something that would have ‘ooh-ing’ or ‘aww-ing’ cutting through the noise of the car. Aaron & I both had smiles on our faces while playing Utah’s ultimate tour guides.
The alpine loop was one of our favorite drives we took them on–with a new site to see waiting around every turn. When stumbling upon this patch of birch trees, I felt a serene sense of calm come over me. There is beauty even in these bare trees–they aren’t boasting big, bold, colored leaves–but rather, just shining in their most pure state.
I love this time of year & all that it brings–the seasons changing, the holidays near, the turning of a new leaf. It’s all beautiful.
To celebrate this special time, I have teamed up with Albion Fit to GIVE AWAY a pair of the leggings shown here! If you saw this on my Instagram–wahoo! If you’re not following me there yet, please do!
Albion Fit is one of my most favorite local brands! I own every color of their antigua leggings & can’t get enough (it’s a problem, really). I think this slate color may be my very favorite though & was thrilled when they came out! These leggings are stretchy, comfortable & they are wonderful quailty with a long life! *insert heart eye emoji here*
