I love me a good smoothie bowl! And yes, I love getting them at local shops (especially with so many here in Hawai’i) to try different flavors and toppings but my favorites are always made in our kitchen at home.
For this smoothie bowl, I strayed away from my usual acai bowl and instead let the color blue inspire my creation! I had seen these blue smoothie bowls but didn’t quite know how to make them. After a quick Pinterest search, I came up with these two helpful blogposts:
I loved both of the colors that these two recipes create (they are slightly different) so I checked our fridge, freezer + pantry to see what ingredients we had on hand. In the end, I ended up following the Rainbow Green Smoothie Bowls recipe, while adding some mango (grown from our tree), a little bit of greek yogurt + my favorite ingredient to add to smoothies – NATURAL CALM.
